RRB Group D Syllabus 2018 & Exam Pattern: Railway Recruitment Board released the vacancy advertisement for 62907 Group D Posts. The entire process of this recruitment shall involve a Computer Based Test(CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification. ## RRB Group D Syllabus 2018 & Exam Pattern

First we will discuss the details of CBT Exam and then Physical test.

### RRB CBT Exam Syllabus & Pattern

The Duration of the Computer Based test will be of 90 Minutes. The total No of Questions to be asked in the online exam are 100. Questions in CBT Exam will be asked on Mathematics, General Science, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness.

Section-wise Distribution of marks in Group D Written Exam:

The section wise distribution given above is only indicative and some variations may be there in the actual question papers.
To Qualify this examination, the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are:
• UR -40%
• OBC-30%
• SC-30%
• ST- 30%.

These marks percentages are relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates.

### RRB Group D Syllabus of Written (CBT) exam

The objective type questions with multiple choices are to be asked and are likely to include questions pertaining to:

a. Mathematics:
This includes questions from Number system, BODMAS, Decimals and Fractions, LCM and HCF, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss,
Ratio and Proportion, Percentages,
Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root Problems, Age related problems, Questions on Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

b. General Intelligence and reasoning:
This includes questions from Analogies, Series (Alphabetical and Number), Coding-Decoding, Mathematical operations,
Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling / ordering of Sentences, Venn Diagram, Questions on Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency,
Statement Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Direction sense test problems, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

c. General Science:
The syllabus under this part shall cover questions from Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level.

d. General Awareness:
This will have questions from current affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance.

Candidates are advised to buy some books for Group D Recruitment in order to prepare better for the examination. The book should cover the syllabus given above. It is likely that millions of candidates are going to apply for this vacancy. So in order to be selected, they have to prepare harder and smarter.

### Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details:

Two times the no. of vacancies, candidates will be called for PET. It is qualifying in nature and mandatory to pass.
Criteria of PET:
Male Candidates: Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
and
Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates: Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
and
Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Based on the performance of candidates in CBT & PET, candidates will be called for Document verification.
