CAT 2017: Application Form, Exam Date, Notification - IIM CAT 2017 Exam Notification details
Indian Institute of Management is going to conduct CAT 2017 exam in November 2017. Common Admission Test (CAT) notification had been released on 29 July 2017. The application form filling will start from 09 August 2017 and the last date to apply is 20th September 2017. This test is conducted for finding those candidates who want to make a career with Indian Institute of Management. The written examination is to be held on 26th November 2017. CAT 2017: Notification, Exam date, Application form apply online -

The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test 2017 on 26th November, 2017 in two sessions. CAT 2017 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.

CAT Exam admit card updates
CAT 2017 Important dates:

  • Registration Starts: Aug 9, 2017, Thursday
  • Registration Ends: Sep 20, 2017, Sunday
  • Admit Card Release date: 18th October 2017, Wednesday, 1:00 PM till Exam Day
  • Exam date: 26 November 2017.
  • Release of Results: Second week of January 2018.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)

The various IIMs are located at following cities:
Ahmedabad Amritsar Bangalore Bodh Gaya, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shillong, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam.

CAT 2017 Selection Process: Please note that each IIM shortlists candidates for its second stage of selection which may be different for each IIM. The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in CAT 2017 examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience
and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs.

CAT 2017 New Exam Scheme:

  • The written test will now be of 180 minutes.
  • There will be some subjective type questions along with objective.
  • The questions will be asked from the sections including Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.
  • Negative marking will be as like previous years. There is no negative marking for subjective /descriptive type questions.
