UIIC AO Syllabus & Exam Pattern

United India Insurance may conduct screening and main examination for AO posts. If the number of candidates applied is less, then the company may conduct only main examination.
The main examination consists of written online examination with descriptive paper.

Exam pattern

Structure of Written Examination (for Generalist posts)
Reasoning – 50 Marks
English Language – 40 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude -50 Marks
General Awareness (with special reference to Financial Sector) – 40 Marks
Computer Literacy – 20 Marks
Time allowed - 2 hours
Total 200 questions - 200 marks

1. Reasoning – 40 Marks
2. English Language – 40 Marks
3. Quantitative Aptitude & Computer Literacy – 40 Marks

5. An additional test to assess technical & professional knowledge in relevant discipline – 40 Marks

Descriptive Test:- Essay writing and Letter writing: 2 Question 30 Minutes.
Maximum 30 marks

Qualifying marks:

General Awareness with Special Reference to Financial Sector 
Questions will be based on last 6 months current affairs, important events, people, places, awards, sports, deaths etc. Around 40 - 50% questions might be asked from Banking and Financial Background and 2 - 5 questions from Insurance sector. For this you have to prepare Insurance Sector Basics and Financial Terminology.

Computer Knowledge
You can expect questions from Basic Computer Parts, MS Office, Shortcut keys, Internet, Networking and recent updates in Computer Sector.

Professional Knowledge
In this section, questions will be asked to test your knowledge on the area which you have applied for (Finance / Automobile Engineering / Legal). Basic questions will be asked from your area.
