Indian Ordnance Factory (IOF) is government authorized body for production of Battle Field Equipment. IOF conducts several exams every year for its various posts. One of its posts is chargeman. It is going to conduct written exam for the post of Chargeman on 07 December 2014. The test will be conducted for both technical and non-technical posts. Those aspirants who had applied for this exam, should know IOF Exam Syllabus to understand the pattern of the test. So here we are providing the so that they can prepare better and score higher.

IOF Chargeman Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Technical and Non-Technical Posts

The syllabus for this test will be in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The written test will be objective type having four options. Candidates have to choose the right one among them. Below is the detailed syllabus along with exam pattern for Chargeman posts.

IOF Syllabus for Chargeman Technical Post

Below is IOF Chargeman Syllabus and Exam Pattern.
For Technical Posts:- 
The written exam for Technical Posts will be of 200 marks.
(a)  For Mechanical, Information Technology, Electrical, Civil, Automobile, Electronics Trades -

General Awareness:- Questions in this part will be asked from Business Knowledge & Current Events.
IOF Chargeman Syllabus for Computer Application:- Questions will be asked from the Computer organization, System Software. All questions will be of O Level.
General Engineering:- Questions in this part will be from basics of every branch. However focus will be mainly on Engineering Drawing.
Engineering Trade Syllabus:- Questions will be asked from candidate's diploma trade subjects. The questions will be from basics of those subjects.

IOF Chargeman Syllabus for Non Technical Post

Non Technical Posts
The written examination for Non-Technical Posts will be of 150 marks. The details are as follows.

Numerical Aptitude:- Questions will be asked from Simplification, Percentage, Time & Work, Average, Area, profit & Loss, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages, Simple & Compound Interest, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie, Chart.
Reasoning:- Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, problem solving analysis, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, coding and decoding, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, statement conclusion, syllogism.
IOF Chargeman Syllabus for Basic English:- Questions will be asked from Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction fill in the blanks, Misspell word , One word Substitution, Active & Passive Voice, Preposition etc.
Selection of the candidates for these posts is done on the basis of merit in the written test. There will be no Interview or Personality Tests for these posts. Selected candidates will be asked to come to NADP/Respective factories with their original documents for verification.
